Yeah, we know what you’re thinking: everyone and their little brother (as well as his best friend) has a podcast these days.
But here’s what we’re thinking: just wait until you hear PACT!’s podcast.
It’s called Rabblerousers, and it fits our spirit and DNA just perfectly…because Rabblerousers is about the art of standing up. For a cause. For what’s right. For oneself. For the downtrodden.
But…doing so creatively, and most entertainingly. Very PACT! indeed.
Each week, Rabblerousers dives into a specific memorable moment of activist theater–from legendary battles of the past to today’s pro-freedom and anti-hate campaigns–to show how ordinary people take extraordinary stands…and how activism can be bold, fun and delightful.
And the Rabblerousers takeaway is simple–a two-pronged question of “So…what are you doing?”
-
If the answer is “Nothing,” we hope the stories of everyday people will inspire viewers to get off their butts and do something great.
-
If the answer already is “Something great,” we hope to inspire viewers to reach out so we can tell their stories as well.
Rabblerousers is also filled with star power. Co-hosts are actor Joshua Malina (renowned for high-profile roles in The West Wing, Sports Night and Scandal) and podcaster/musician Hrishikesh Hirway, who have built-in chemistry from co-hosting The West Wing Weekly together. The show is produced by Jody Avirgan of Roulette Productions, who has developed and produced podcasts liken What Now w/ Trevor Noah, Heat Check w/ Steph Curry and 30for30.
Initial Rabblerousers episodes include the stories of:
- A Nazi rally flipped into a walkathon fundraiser against Nazis
- A giant condom dropped on a bigot’s senator’s house
- Gun reform activists punking an NRA bigwig at a high school commencement speech
